The Department's ICT team is seeking to engage an experienced IT technical specialist/System Administrator who possesses strong technical and communication abilities. This role entails a variety of responsibilities, such as system design and administration, project support, level 2/3 technical assistance and contributing to the improvement and maintenance of ICT environments as required.
Key services to be provisioned under this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support, advice and assistance to staff and partners with a particular focus on technically complex issues,
- Perform a technical lead role for a subset of ICT services/capabilities,
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of systems improvement initiatives,
- Maintain ICT environments (system upgrades, updates, monitoring, documentation etc.),
- Transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the organisation’s recordkeeping policy and practices, and
- Microsoft Windows, SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, SCCM
- Microsoft 365 Services (Productivity/Collaboration and Security primarily)
- Microsoft Azure
