The OpportunityThis department is implementing new systems to support a modern operating environment, with a new expense management and travel system being rolled out as well as a new financial management information system. It is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get involved in these financial transformation projects.
You will be part of a small team with a supportive Director and Assistant Director to further develop and grow your career in the APS. Flexible working arrangements will be considered for successful candidates.
This is a non-ongoing 12-month contract opportunity with a view to permanent as this is a vacant position.
The RoleAs an APS6 Financial Systems Administrator, you will be a key team member to implement a new financial management information system. Key duties include:
- Assisting in the design and implementation of the new Financial Management Information System
- Liaising with programmers on technical matters and responding to Help Desk inquiries
- Administering the Financial Management Information Systems, including system configuration changes, user access maintenance, and system testing
- Managing priorities and the needs of stakeholders to meet and exceed expectations, identifying and resolving issues
- Contributing to the implementation and improvement of processes and workplace innovation
You have working experience in implementing financial management information systems and possess project management skills. You will be responsive in a changing environment and have the ability to apply strategic thinking for decision-making.
Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to implement changes. Knowledge in TechnologyOne is desirable but not essential.
Applicants must be Australian citizens and possess an existing Baseline clearance to be considered for this role.
Salary / Rate- $91k – $110k + 15.4% super
