About the role
The department requires System Administrators to deliver cutting edge capabilities through a variety of different programmes and projects.
The Software Developers will be responsible, under general direction to manage servers and associated networking hardware and software and will have a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical/non-technical personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers and associated networking hardware and software applying specialist bodies of knowledge.
- Monitor system performance and security. Use substantial discretion when identifying and responding to complex issues and responding to user requests and incidents.
- Enable the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures and shares knowledge and experience to help others.
- Demonstrated experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux or similar Linux distributions.
- Experience with a range of ICT hardware including servers and network appliances.
- Experience with virtual/cloud computing.
- Experience in IT system sustainment operations.
