Seeking a highly skilled System Analyst. The key responsibilities are:
- Analysing Requirements: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements. Analyse how people, data, processes, communications, and information technology can support Modelers cloud-based applications and services
- Designing and Deploying Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Maintain and monitor existing cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support for cloud-based applications and systems.
- Evaluating New Technologies: Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services, staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.
- Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture. Ensure compliance with legislation and data privacy laws.
- Capacity Planning: Assess resource requirements, scalability, and performance needs. Plan for future growth and optimise resource allocation within Azure.
- Cost Management: Monitors usage, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and ensures efficient spending on Azure resources.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Design and implement disaster recovery strategies using Azure services like Azure Site Recovery or Azure Backup. Ensuring business continuity during outages is essential.
- Integration and APIs: Collaborates with developers to integrate Azure services into applications. Work with APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Governance and Compliance: Establishing governance policies, managing access controls, and ensuring compliance with standards.
Essential criteria
- A strong understanding of Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure SQL Database is essential.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Azure CLI is crucial for automating tasks, managing resources, and deploying infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of Azure security features, identity management (such as Azure Active Directory) and understanding Azure networking components (such as Virtual Networks, Subnets, and Network Security Groups).
- Skills in monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights, as well as troubleshooting techniques, for maintaining system health, and the associated communication and negotiation skills for issue resolution
- Understanding of ITIL processes and incident management and familiarity with Azure DevOps, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git) is beneficial.
- Proficiency in managing Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, or other Azure database services is essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
