Form of workOur client, a Federal Government Contractor is seeking a System Engineer/ Protection Engineer located in Melbourne for an initial term of 12 months with further extension options to work on a number of project initiatives within their ICT capability area.
The Protection Engineer shall be responsible for integrating, implementing and conducting systems engineering design, development, verification, and validation of the protection systems that will be integrated into Defence land vehicles. The Protection Engineer will be required to work collaboratively with all subcontractors.
Duties include, but not limited to undertaking protection engineering activities across the program including requirements development, analysis and management, system integration assessment, technical data management, verification and validation planning, test execution and test reporting activities. Provides extensive subject matter expertise and technical advice in the area of vehicle protection and survivability. Work as part of the engineering and broader Hanwha team to deliver quality engineering outcomes. Work with all contributing parties, including our subcontractors, to ensure the quality of all deliverables and exchanges with potential subcontractors are exceptional.
The following are skills and experiences will be expected of the right candidate for this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering. Minimum 5 years in similar role.
- Minimum 5 years Systems Engineering experience.
- Experience in Defence sector with extensive knowledge in protection and survivability military standards and regulations related to vehicle development
- Security Clearance: Minimum NV1
