About the QNMU
The Queensland Nurses and Midwives' Union (QNMU) is the primary industrial and professional organisation for nurses and midwives working in public, private, diverse and aged care sectors in Queensland. The QNMU seeks to promote and defend the industrial, professional, social, political and democratic interests of over 71,000 members. We have over 200 employees including organisers, professionals and administrative personnel, and manage a multi-million-dollar operating budget.

Our Finance team strives to provide accurate, timely and useful financial information and reports to stakeholders to support decision making and to maximise utilisation and value of member’s assets.
As the Systems Accountant you will support the Finance team in the effective utilisation and enhancement of financial systems to meet QNMU’s operational needs, financial objectives, and statutory reporting requirements. You will also work with stakeholders across the organisation to provide accurate, timely, compliant and transparent financial information, analysis and advice to support informed business decision making.
This a 12 month maternity leave cover fixed term contract role.

Who we’re looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
- Professional CA/CPA recognition required.
- Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role with a systems focus.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering financial, management and business intelligence reports to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- In depth knowledge and hands on experience with Technology One Financials, Accounts Payable, ETL processes and system administration.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of financial reports using XLOne, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel, Power Query and Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Experience with EzeScan, or other similar platforms.
