About this opportunity
Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Accountant to join its Financial Management team. In this newly created position, you will support the administration and improvement of financial systems ensuring systems reliability and efficiently.
Additionally, you’ll also …
- Perform agreed system administration functions for all Finance systems;
- Continually seek opportunities for system and process improvement;
- Maintain and improve the integration with other systems and databases to support reporting and analysis.
- Provide support and assistance to the Financial Management team through training, detailed documentation and policy and procedures.
About you…
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (eg. Accounting and / or information technology) at Degree level or above;
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply accounting standards, techniques, concepts and practices;
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic financial reporting and planning principles, including some knowledge of legislative and auditing requirements;
- Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system administration, maintenance, support and implementation of an ERP SYSTEM in a large and complex organization.
- Experience in building financial reports.
- Ability to provide specialist expertise and advice to users in relation to finance systems.
- A current C class driver’s licence.
