The OpportunityThis is an opportunity to join the Finance and Strategy Group, helping the team move forward in a transformative period. Led by a forward-thinking CFO, they continue to attract a team of high performing problem solvers. The long-term strategy is to continually move towards an enabling environment where manual processes are streamlined, and data is used to drive smart business decisions as well as implementing a new corporate services delivery model which has resulted in a wide range of opportunities.
Icon Water are about to embark on a significant digital transformation which includes implementing a new finance system to uplift the reporting capability. During the next 12 months, you will have the opportunity to deep dive into the systems to understand how it operates and how to manage it so you become the subject matter expert in the organisation. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to make a positive contribution and support users in providing insightful reports.
The RoleKey responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and undertake the general administration of the Finance Information Management System (FIMS) as well as providing support to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the internal system financial architecture, associated process flows, and systems controls.
- Responsible for co-ordinating updates and changes to FIMS master data with the relevant system owners of integrated or linked systems.
- Responsible for closing and opening the relevant financial periods within the system and coordinating with the relevant finance stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing data stewardship, data integrity, and assurance for financial related information to support financial management processes.
This role suits an experienced Systems Accountant motivated to learn a new system and become the expert in the organisation. You enjoy internal customer service and take a keen interest in making the systems/reporting work for the users.
You will be known as someone who is a problem solver and a sounding board to think of solutions that are out of the box. An inquisitive nature paired with excellent interpersonal skills is a must as you will be having regular daily interaction with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

Salary / RateThe salary band starts at $136,697 + 15% Super.
