We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Systems Administrator at our Melbourne Branch (RCR International). In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure and applications across our 3 branches, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime. Additionally, you will define and document best practices and support procedures to streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the technology infrastructure across our 3 locations as well as remote employees, including future planning.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with IT infrastructure and applications.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures.
- Provide level 2 technical support for all users, prioritising helpdesk tasks appropriately to minimise backlog.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans, conducting regular testing to ensure effectiveness.
- Provide after-hours support for infrastructure-related emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
- Manage software licensing records and ensure compliance with all licensing requirements.
- Assist with vendor and technology evaluation and recommendations.
- Ensure system security and data protection measures are in place.
- Assist with ERP and WMS projects and reporting needs
- Provide guidance and supervision to the IT team
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in system administration, network administration, or a related field.
- Microsoft products including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365
- Network Architecture (incl VoIP, Wifi, Switches, Firewalls)
- VMWare & Hyper-V
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- ERP & SQL exposure advantageous
