Your purpose
In this role you will support and assist in the enablement of our forward-looking Finance & Advice community. You’ll collaborate across and within teams and build strong relationships with customers to match the right solution to each customer’s needs – placing the customer at the heart of decisions.
Utilise your strengths with keeping things simple while driving innovation, removing blockages and anticipate and adapt to changing market and business challenges.
What you will do
- To drive, support and improve the data integrity of Insurance related Product System General Ledger (GL) Interfaces posting to the General Ledger (Oracle)
- Responsible for problem analysis and resolution development, business requirement specification, user acceptance testing scripts, and training, for system release changes and enhancement initiatives that relate to the Product System interfaces and all impacts on any automated reconciliation solutions
- Maintain the data integrity of Product System GL interfaces and ensure all transactions are mapped to the corporate chart of accounts as per business requirements
- Oversee end user needs are met through extensive involvement in product system scheduled change releases and projects re: planning, problem analysis and resolution development, user acceptance testing, training of end users and procedures, and problem resolution
- Pro-active recommendation and advise of changes and or enhancement to the Suncorp Group’s product systems and transactional sub-ledgers in order to resolve end user problems and improve efficiency and quality of General Ledger data
- Liaise with Technology to assist with high customer impact production problems as a result of batch failures within the Product Systems as required
- Be an active member of the wider Finance & Advice division, contributing to the attainment of objectives and plans
What you'll need
- Business degree (desired)
- Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA) (desired)
- Experience in Product Systems and GL Interface designs
- Experience in Insurance Product Systems (e.g. ClaimCentre)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role
