The Systems and Data Officer will support the school priorities by managing existing ICT Systems and developing new solutions to meet the demands of changing technologies, innovative learning and school management approaches.
This role is vital to the daily operation of the school, managing the platforms underpinning timetabling, attendance, participation, curriculum, assessment and reporting; internal communications, the school web presence incorporating social media; and our integration with the broader ACT Education Directorate’s Systems and the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies ACS (ACT Certification System).
As part of the Administration team, the Systems and Data Officer will work closely with the school Executive team; they will collaborate with the school’s IT/AV/Communications Officer and Building Services Officer in managing the school IT infrastructure and providing technical support to staff and students. In accordance with Directorate policies and in consultation with the supervisor, the position requires initiative and independent judgement.
Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
Evidence of a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 or the ability to obtain registration.
Completion, or near completion of an associate diploma or higher qualification in computing/information science or significant relevant work experience (2 or more years).
