We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our Information & Technology Services team. As the Systems Engineer, you will advise on and ensure the availability, capacity, performance, functionality, security, integrity and integration of Council’s Infrastructure & Platform Services (Compute, Storage, Data Centre & Cloud Services). In addition to this, you will assist the Senior Systems Engineer in the development and maintenance of IT Infrastructure lifecycle and asset management to ensure infrastructure & platform service assets deliver value at optimal cost, remain operational, are accounted for and have appropriate security protection.
The ideal candidate has:
- Tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology related discipline; preferably CCNA qualified or experience in network support and administration within a large multi-function organisation.
- Demonstrated working knowledge in the deployment, and support of voice and data networks, server management, storage management, performance tuning/monitoring and security management.
- Experience in Microsoft 365 Enterprise services/Azure and Identity management along with extensive cloud migration and support experience including SaaS & PaaS.
- Demonstrated high level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
