ScaleUp has partnered with this business as an exclusive provider of their technology talent. Together we are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to help them keep Australia safe.
Daily you will use your strong value of self-worth, inquisitiveness and protective nature to provide technical and communication expertise to their customer base. You'll help these businesses deploy and use their software and hardware products to their full potential.
On a day to day you will:
- Use your excellent communication skills to provide technical support via phone and email. This includes network, infra and product technical support.
- You’ll visit on-site installations or work from home/the office to conduct remote maintenance
- Be involved in product implementations & demonstrations by being involved in cross function teams to help on project delivery
- Assist with the development of proof-of-concepts to help win new business
- Provide technical training to our customers
What’s needed from you to join the revolution
- Previous role that is similar in nature of Systems Engineering, technical support, with hands-on experience deploying solutions
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, servers, GPU’s, network technologies, security and different operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux Ubuntu/SUSE/Debian/RHEL)
- Experience deploying in Cloud (AWS, Azure) and Virtual Machine (VMWare, Proxmox) environments
- Knowledge of database backends such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Oracle
- Direct face-to-face customer interaction experience, including conducting of end-user training
- Experience providing remote technical support to external customers and end-users to resolve issues

This is a permanent full-time position for people based in Sydney Australia, and open to people who are Australian Citizens OR Permanent Residents only.
While the position is predominantly Work From Home, you may be required for physical catch-ups and on-site visits from time to time. Most of these will be Sydney-based.
