This is a critical role where you will draw on your deep expertise of systems engineering and interface management relating to railway stations.In this role, you will:
  • Lead and manage station interface management activities such as lead Interface Working Groups between Stations Packages and Line Wide Package and manage interface issues resolution.
  • Provide recommendations in case the solution has impacts on time or contracts.
  • Address interface challenges and assess the criticality of unresolved issues.
  • Advise solutions to the Client on how to balance and/or resolve issues which are technical, commercial and program in nature.
  • Develop and implement the Interface Management Plan for the project.
  • Establish robust processes for interface communication, meeting management, and reporting with for the project, the client, consortium, third parties, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with broader Project team and influence outcomes to achieve best project outcomes.
QualificationsIdeally, you will have 10+ years of experience in a similar role in professional services industry and/or engineering consultancy. In addition to this, you will also have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field
  • CPENG highly desirable
  • Proven expertise and knowledge of Power-Low voltage systems
  • Proven expertise and knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic (MEP) systems and their interfaces
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian railway standards and guidelines and ability to adhere to industry best practices
  • Experience in interface management processes
  • Experience of life safety in railway stations and interfaces with stakeholders
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Highly developed organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Confident negotiation skills
  • Meet requirements for rail industry site work (Rail Industry Workers Card, OH&S card etc).
