Our culture is one based on safety and performance.We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Maintainer or Trainee Systems Maintainer to join our Regional Assets South, Wayside Systems Team based at our Toowoomba depot.What Queensland Rail has to offer:

• 9 day fortnight - Monday to Friday with every second Friday off (3 day weekend)
• Complete Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling if not already obtained.
• Your annual earning potential will likely be between $68,000-80,000 - including penalties + super (Based on qualifications)

About the roleAs a Systems Maintainer you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical signalling equipment. The team is made up of electrical and mechanical signal maintenance personnel who work together to cover the regions west of Rosewood and is based in Toowoomba, with the requirement to work away from home approximately 1 in every 8 weeks.In this role you will:

• Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical signalling equipment
• Participate in a On Call roster and be required to travel throughout the district
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with WH&S requirements
• Undertake accurate and timely administrative and recording duties
• Review and improve current work procedures and practices

We promote development in our team and in addition to the above-mentioned training you will have the opportunity to gain a MR licence, commercial poison licence (ACDC), High Risk Work Licence (LF) & (DG) and Working Safely at Heights ticket.About you

• Current drivers' licence
• Mechanically minded
• Already possess or willing to complete Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling
• Team player who can be relied upon to work autonomously
• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Must have capacity to travel and work within Regional Queensland
• Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
