Our SEQ Assets Network Maintenance business delivers infrastructure services, construction, maintenance, asset management and development.
This position sits within the Signalling Asset Renewals Mechanical team based at our Qantas Drive Multi User Depot located in the Brisbane Airport precinct. The team deliver high quality signalling asset renewals and upgrades both in SEQ and the regional network.
About the role:
- Assist Coordinator with timelines and works requirements, including conducting site inspections
- Ensure the team is working to safety and quality standards
- Install and repair mechanical signalling equipment
- Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, programs and costing systems
- Report on actual maintenance performed verses the scheduled maintenance program, equipment performance and condition irregularities
- You will be working with Points Machines, Level Crossing and Pedestrian Crossing Mechanisms, civil and site works for equipment hut foundations, cable route pit and pipe installation works
- Cairns Resignalling
- Logan & Gold Coast faster rail and new Stations
- SEQ & regional Level Crossing upgrades
- SEQ & regional power distribution upgrades
We are looking for:
- Certificate 3 Mechanical Rail Signalling
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Leadership experience
- Experience managing worksites
Hours:
- Ordinary hours are 0600hrs to 1600hrs four days per week. Shift times may vary, with sufficient notice, according to business needs with penalty rates applicable after 1800hrs.
- The team are required to work a reasonably amount of overtime, usually occurring on weekends. Regional work is usually conducted in 10 day blocks with travel on work time, accommodation supplied and a working away allowance.

- Where do we stay when on site? Local accommodation, where possible a self-contained apartment with facilities to allow for cooking

- Can I leave my personal vehicle at the depot when away? Yes
