About the team
This position sits within our Mackay Wayside team based at our Mackay depot. You'll join a team of four maintainers and four electricians who work together to maintain and repair the signalling equipment in and around the Mackay district.
About the role
- Lead the onsite installation, maintenance and repair of trackside systems equipment
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with WH&S requirements and legislative policies
- Implement, co-ordinate and manage worksite safe working & environmental protection
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications and standards
- Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to quality of works performed, inspection & test plans and costing systems

About you
- Certificate 3 Mechanical Rail Signalling
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Leadership experience
- Experience managing worksites
Work hours
- Generally you will work from 0715 to 1615 on a 9/5 roster (5 day weekend every fortnight)
- All travel is on paid work time. Work vehicles and accommodation is provided when working away, and an allowance of $113 per night is paid in addition to your salary (tax free)
