Job description

The System Trainer will play a crucial role in supporting the Training Manager in the development and enhancement of training materials for diverse projects across Australia and New Zealand. The primary responsibilities will revolve around delivering training on SICE systems to both internal employees and external clients. This role demands a highly organized and adaptable professional with a passion for training and a deep understanding of Traffic Control systems.

The role will cover the company training needs in Australia and New Zealand and it can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland adapting to the suitable candidate's location.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials.
    • Collaborate with the Training Manager to create, update, and improve training materials tailored to specific projects.
    • Ensure that training materials align with industry best practices and the latest developments in SICE systems.
  • Deliver training sessions.
    • Conduct training sessions for internal staff and external clients on the use of SICE systems
    • Adapt training content to suit the diverse needs and skill levels of the audience.
    • Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments
  • Knowledge Transfer
    • Share expert knowledge of SICE systems, offering insights and practical solutions to trainees.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to trainees, addressing questions and concerns effectively.
  • Feedback and Improvement
    • Collect feedback from trainees to continuously enhance training materials and methodologies.
    • Collaborate with the Training Manager to implement improvements based on feedback and industry trends.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and trainee progress.
    • Generate reports and documentation as required for tracking and compliance purposes.
  • Travel and Coordination
    • Travel to various locations across Australia and New Zealand as needed to deliver training sessions.
  • Coordinate training schedules and logistics to ensure seamless execution.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with traffic control systems and related technologies
  • Awareness of mechanical and electrical systems such as fire life safety systems, ventilation etc.
  • Completed study in a relevant field (e.g., Adult education, Information Technology, Engineering, Education) or equivalent work experience
  • Relevant experience as a Systems Trainer or equivalent work experience
  • Introductory understanding of NZQA (NZ Educational Framework).
  • Experience creating eLearning modules is desirable.
  • Technology and Communication Skills – Intermediate to Advanced written, verbal communication and IT skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences,
  • Willingness to travel as required.
