About the Role
VU TAFE Accounting team are looking for educators with current industry experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or BAS/Tax Agent to teach in our Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping and Diploma of Accounting. The role would suit persons passionate about Accounting and Payroll education and teaching the next generation of Accounting/Bookkeeping professionals. Our students come from diverse backgrounds with options to further their education with a higher education pathway.
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Teaching classes in the Diploma of Accounting and Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Preparing class content materials including case studies, problem-based learning scenarios, and delivering classes
- Competency-based assessment and student evaluation
Salary and Conditions of Employment
- For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $86.90 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation.
- Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2019
About the Person
Our teaching team is looking for someone:
- Who possesses or can obtain a TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- With a qualification within the Accounting and Bookkeeping sector such as a Bachelor of Accounting, Diploma of Accounting, Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
- With current Working with Children Check or be able to obtain
- With a minimum of 1 year working experience within the last 5 years in industry to be able to bring your knowledge and experience to the classroom
- With Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
