The company has offices in Sydney, Auckland, Shanghai, and London. In Australia there are manufacturing plants in Ingleburn, Somersby, Yatala, and Dubbo. These sites make a range of dry food, wet food, fresh and chilled recipes, and treats.

Position OverviewAs the Talent and Organisational Effectiveness Manager you will lead the company's efforts in talent management and Organisational improvement. This role encompasses the full talent management life-cycle, from establishing a solid talent pipeline to creating entry-level positions in a manufacturing environment and aligning organisational development initiatives with business objectives. The perfect candidate will have a thorough understanding of talent acquisition, development, and Organisational design, with a focus on refining team structures, optimising work processes, clarifying roles, and enhancing decision-making, all while developing capability plans for both present and future needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and execute a comprehensive talent management strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans, including recruitment, retention, and talent development initiatives.
- Create and manage a pipeline of high-potential talent, focusing on internal development and external recruitment for key positions, particularly in manufacturing and operational roles.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of a graduate program and establish an internal mobility framework to support employee growth and lateral moves across the organisation.
- Manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes with an emphasis on high-calibre talent acquisition, employer branding, legislative compliance, diversity, and inclusion.
- Coach Managers on effective interview techniques to assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience against role requirements, and support site-based P&C resources in managing applicants for open operations positions.
- Lead organisational development initiatives to improve team structures, work-flow processes, and alignment with strategic goals, and drive continuous improvement in ways of working.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support organisational transitions and transformation projects, and partner with the business to define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
- Ensure health and safety compliance by maintaining safe working environments, providing necessary training and supervision, consulting with employees on WH&S matters, and identifying and correcting unsafe conditions.
- Support the company's ESG/Sustainability strategy by contributing to projects, engaging in sustainable practices, promoting sustainability initiatives, and managing relationships with recruitment partners and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent management, organisational development, or a related field, with a significant portion in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) is a plus.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful talent management strategies that align with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition, development, and Organisational design principles.
- Experience in leading organisational development initiatives to improve team structures, work-flow processes, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Proficiency in HR software and data analytic tools to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and handle competing priorities. Demonstrated problem-solving capability and the ability to influence, manage, and challenge ideas and existing business processes.
