PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in assisting the management of high-risk and complex projects within the Major Projects portfolio, ranging from $50m to $200m. Working closely with a lead Project Manager, you will ensure seamless project delivery aligned with NEC4 processes project management framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountabilities:
- Manage up to 6 indirect reports across matrix-managed project teams to achieve project outcomes.
- Uphold safety leadership expectations by fostering a culture of safety and well-being across all project activities.
- Actively contribute to project planning, coordination, and execution to achieve Major Projects objectives.
Technical Accountabilities:
- Lead the delivery of high-risk and complex projects from initiation to handover, ensuring adherence to NEC4 contractual requirements.
- Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and external supply chain partners to optimize project delivery efficiency.
- Develop and manage project plans, business cases, and procurement strategies to meet client expectations.
System and Process Accountabilities:
- Ensure compliance with project management systems and NEC contract management processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery effectiveness and risk management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- NSW general construction induction card (white card) and Class C driver's license.
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in infrastructure/utilities sectors, including NEC contract management.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ethical approach to work and commitment to safety and quality.
