About the Role
Our Wacol HR team have an exciting 12-month fixed term maternity relief contract opportunity for a Talent and Community Engagement Specialist. This role oversees the recruitment for our factory and DC roles as well as the engagement of all available mediums to attract and retain new team members to the Primo business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- End to end ownership of talent recruited (interviewing, selection, placement and onboarding)
- Ability to understand operational environment and tasks to support high quality placement
- Identification of Selection and Onboarding improvement opportunities
- Talent and capability related projects
- Local area and community connection including any relevant social channels such as billboards, panels on store fronts, Facebook, LinkedIn & Instagram
- Advertise and promote Primo and JBS at centres of worship or congregation of the nationalities
- Develop relationships with local education providers
- Relationship with Workforce Australia providers
- Digital marketing campaign targets areas where suitable potential talent reside
- Coordinating and attending education field days, school expos and/or careers days and relevant job career fairs
- Pop up stalls at local markets and shopping centres, branded community and charity work
- Establishing relevant celebration days for the blue-collar wages' teams - (e.g. national R U OK Day)
- Engagement of relevant sporting clubs and/or other relevant associations
About you:
- Preferred experience in a similar role and/or strong knowledge of Primo's operations
- High degree of proactivity and ownership of tasks
- Demonstrated collaboration and project management skills to deliver community or talent-based projects
- Previous experience with employment providers or recruitment preferred
- Strong communication skills, particularly related to supporting people where English second language
- Relationship focused
- Structured and logical methodology
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
- Ability to prioritise tasks and be able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously; and the ability to interface with all levels of management
- Approachable and enthusiastic
