With a focus on creating a special place with a strong sense of community, a healthy and active lifestyle, and an inspiring, high-quality place where people choose to live, work, eat, shop and play, we are looking to appoint a Community Engagement specialist to lead the placemaking, events, project launches and Community Engagement strategy for future growth.
Working with the development team on all aspects of the masterplan, this new role will deliver events and new place activations; coordinate project launches and activities for community recreational and shared spaces. You will work collaboratively with different stakeholders that may include local sporting & business groups, schools, Local Government, environmental and interest groups; identify project sponsors; and administering corporate sponsorship programs.
The Community Engagement specialist will connect, consult and ultimately work with the community as the masterplan is delivered! You will be a key point of contact for an active, social and inclusive community within the development. You will have substantial autonomy within the role for refining and managing the strategic Community Development program, formulating communication plans and initiatives to deliver community-based events with approved budgets for each project.

We are seeking to identify someone with the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Planning/ Sciences, Communications-Media, or a related field;
- Ability to formulate plans incorporating the multi-disciplined relationships between community development, marketing and public relations;
- Project/event management experience, including budgeting and financial administration;
- A background that may include communications, marketing, events, community development/ engagement;
- Ability to network extensively, build strategic partnerships and community connections;
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing and public speaking;
- Well-developed time management, problem solving and negotiation skills;
- Proficiency with MS Office suite of products and relevant marketing software;
- A current Driver's Licence and relevant Police/ Blue card checks if required
The ability to occasionally work outside of normal work hours, including weekends.
