Founded by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (Perkins), Linear has Western Australia's only dedicated early phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup where we focus on early phase clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
Here at Linear that includes a broad oncology portfolio that continues to expand as we open the Advanced Cancer Trials Centre (ACTC) in early 2024, the first of its kind facility in Australia dedicated to bringing novel therapies through clinical trials to the cancer patients of Western Australia. The ACTC is situated on the QEII Medical precinct, directly next to the WA State Cancer Centre.
Job Description
Your role in our future
We are looking for a talent guru who can use their expert industry insights, knowledge and networks to design and implement effective hiring activities to attract the best talent, delivering exceptional candidate/employee experiences. You'll be responsible for partnering with hiring managers and will own the end-to-end recruitment process across Linear, playing a pivotal role in proactively sourcing the best candidates and pipelining future talent.
Your time will be spent:
- Overseeing end to end recruitment activity across Linear including candidate phone screening, interviewing, initiating background checks and coordinating offer processes.
- Partnering with hiring managers to enhance their recruitment and networking skills, contributing to an exceptional candidate experience.
- Identifying new role requirements, job design and supporting the budgeting process to ensure resourcing meets future business needs and objectives.
- Working with the CPCTO in the comprehensive review and redesign of the recruitment framework (including branding, advertising, selection techniques, position descriptions) to ensure that it is fit-for-purpose and is aligned with the Linear strategy, vision, purpose, and values.
This role will be based in Nedlands but will be required to spend time at our Joondalup site.

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Championing best practice recruitment with a variety of stakeholders; those who recruit often to those who recruit once a year. Your experience allows you to adjust your style with your audience, and always be successful.
- Previous experience in an internal and agency talent acquisition position (at least 1-2 years) with volume recruitment experience being highly desirable.
- You'll have experience in effective service delivery, staff capacity building, and working effectively in a complex and changing environment.
- Understanding of wider resourcing related areas including employer branding, diversity, internal mobility, workforce planning, and talent insights.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible, positive and collaborative approach.
- A client-focused approach to adding value.
