Qualifications & experience
- 2-3 years of experience in completing most of the listed responsibilities.
- Has completed or commenced CA or CPA programs.
- Experience using Accounting Software such as Xero, MYOB, and Quickbooks.
- Intermediate level of Excel knowledge and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Optional - Experience using Dext and Hubdoc.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, business, and organizational tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations, including GST, BAS, and PAYG.
- Maintain precise and organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.
- Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements).
- Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of client accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support clients in managing their tax obligations, including instalment plans and payment arrangements with the ATO.
- Support some clients in managing their payroll, including the preparation and running of pay runs.
