Oke Financial Services Pty Ltd is a successful mid-tier accounting firm. Our head office is located in Sydney but has offices across Australia. We are looking for an accounting graduate or a junior accountant who is willing to learn and building up the work experience through real business clients.
Qualifications & experience
- An Australian degree in Accounting or relevant majors at a reputable Australian University (minimum Credit Average)
- Excellent organisation and communications skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Advanced numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- With 0-6 months’ experience at an Australian accounting firm
- Competent in using Excel and other Microsoft Office products, MYOB and Xero products.
- Working visa with at least 18 months validity, PR is preferable
- Capacity to maintain discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Work closely with a senior staff
- Liaise directly with clients and make tax decisions with them
- Prepare compliance to ensure client expectations are exceeded
- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
- Prepare BAS/IAS Returns
- Look after a small group of clients
- Prepare financial statements & tax returns for all entity types including SMSF
