Due to continuing demand and growth within the team the firm seeks a talented and experienced Tax Lawyer (Associate or Senior Tax Associate) to bolster the taxation team.
As experts in all fields of taxation law this firm advises their clients on a range of Australian and international tax matters. As an experienced tax lawyer you will be providing sophisticated tax-structuring advice and representing their clients in front of the tax authorities.
The successful Tax Associate / Senior Tax Associate will demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. This particular role will suit a tax lawyer who enjoys solving challenging tax technical issues and building strong commercial relationships with their clients.
Responsibilities
- Advising on income tax and tax structuring matters
- Drafting written advice for HNWI’s, corporate clients and large privately owned groups;
- Working closely with the Tax Partners on various matters;
- Drafting and reviewing various legal agreements including but not limited to JV’s, shareholder, partnership agreements
- Working across a variety of industry sectors;
Requirements
- Law degree LLB or JD (essential);
- Admitted as a practicing Australian Lawyer
- 5 + years experience gained within a tax legal practice (essential)
- Experience within GST, Stamp Duty and Land Taxes is of interest.
- Strong communication skills.
