About the role
TAFE Gippsland is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced industry experts to join us as a Teacher Beauty in a part time capacity until December 2024. This role involves providing teaching delivery and assessment to our Certificate III in Beauty students.
Teaching hours are available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 5pm to 9pm at our Traralgon campus.
As a Beauty Teacher, you will play a key role in developing up to date industry course materials, delivery high quality training and assessment, and handling education administration responsibilities. Your guidance and support will be integral in equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the Beauty industry.
About you
You are a dedicated, energetic, and driven professional in the beauty industry, equipped with broad experience across various beauty practices including makeup, nail techniques and lash extensions (desirable). Your confidence and proactive approach are complemented by excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to establish and build relationships both with students and industry clients.
You have proficient ICT skills, an understanding of training packages and a keen awareness of compliance and quality requirements (desirable). Collaborative by nature, you thrive in team environments. Your passion for the beauty industry is evident in your commitment to sharing your knowledge to the next generation of Beauty professionals.
Qualifications and experience:
- Successful completion of Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or willingness to complete.
- Certificate III in Beauty or equivalent
- Current industry experience in gel and dip nail techniques and makeup application
Mandatory requirements:
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
- A valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence
