Cannington Community College (CC) is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team.
Cannington CC is a dynamic work and learning environment delivering responsive and inclusive education to a diverse community. The College is an urban Kindergarten to Year 10 school approximately 8 kilometres from the Perth CBD. Our College is unique!
Cannington CC is growing and undergoing significant renewal over the next few years, with the development of new pedagogies, and new ways of working together. We are collaboratively developing a vision for the future of Cannington; and together with the City of Canning, Cannington Community Education Support Centre and Sevenoaks Senior College, we are engaging with the redevelopment of the inner-city area. We are looking for ECE staff who are team oriented, highly collaborative and possess an ability to work in a team. Cannington CC has a culture of excellence in teaching and learning. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
