This is a nine (9) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency
Hillcrest Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Teacher - Early Childhood Education. This position is for a Kindergarten teacher that will be responsible for two Kindergarten groups.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated, energetic and possess the qualities to promote excellence, build effective teams and implement an innovative curriculum. You should have Early Childhood qualifications to match the position. You will ideally possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and have the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner.

Established in 1950, Hillcrest PS is located in the suburb of Bayswater and is prominently situated on the crest of a large hill. Hillcrest PS serves children predominantly from the suburbs of Bayswater, Bedford and Embleton and has a growing school population. The school has a strong connection and involvement within the local community.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
