Wanneroo SC opened its endorsed Education Support Program with Year 7 students in 2024 and construction of a purpose build begins later this year. By 2029 the program will have Year 7-12 and cater for up to 80 young people with disabilities. Wanneroo SC is a PBS school and this philosophy is embedded across the school.The successful applicant will display professional knowledge and experience working with students with disabilities and display an ability to be able to provide the best for each child, both academically and non-academically. We are seeking reflective teachers who can manage a team and work effectively with their colleagues (teaching and support staff) to support improved educational outcomes in a secondary context.In this role, you will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit excellent classroom management skills to enhance student learning and wellbeing. The successful applicant should also be flexible and have strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with families and external stake holders.Experience and knowledge of individualised planning using WA Curriculum, evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs and SEN (Special Educational Needs) Reporting would be highly regarded.
