Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2025.Suitable applicants will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to create a classroom environment that is caring, differentiated and responsive to the needs of each individual student. You should be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning and a high-level of participation in collaborative team planning.Suitable applicants will ideally be reflective teachers with a commitment to continual professional growth to improve their practice. Applicants should also be highly proficient in motivating and maximising the engagement of students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning that enables all students to achieve their highest potential. Ideally, suitable applicants will possess cultural awareness and be focused on delivering programs to individuals and groups, including those students with complex needs, and diagnosed disabilities. Suitable applicants will be familiar with a range of curricula and assessment tools, including the Western Australian Curriculum, Abilities Based Learning Education Western Australia (ABLEWA) and ASDAN. Successful applicants will ideally demonstrate experience in implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies, Direct Instruction programmes and implementation of explicit and comprehensive teaching and learning strategies for individual students.Lakeland SHS is an Independent Public School located in South Lake.
