Cowra High School is a comprehensive rural school with an increasing enrolment of 537 students, including approximately 20% Aboriginal students. The school is an integral part of the Cowra township, situated in the Central West of NSW. Students enrolled at Cowra High School come from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds. Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. Applicants must have:
- Approval to teach English 7-12 and Drama.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially within an experienced English/CAPA faculty, including the commitment to participate in whole school initiatives
- Demonstrated ability in the use of data to improve student performance
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with the students, staff, parents and the wider community
The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions apply)
A relocation support package of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
