Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
- Demonstrated exemplary quality teaching, with high-quality data analysis and differentiation in literacy and numeracy to maximise the learning of all students and support areas for professional development for individual or whole school staff , including high potential, gifted education students, students with learning and/or behaviour difficulties and/or EAL/D students.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead consultation, planning, implementation and review processes of individual student support plans including personalised learning and support plans, behaviour support plans and risk management plans in addition to the management of department processes including funding reviews, liaison with a range of stakeholders and the NCCD survey.
- Commitment to the implementation of successful whole-school wellbeing programs with capacity to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate strategies and interventions to support student behaviour across the care continuum.
- Outstanding communication, organisation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage proactively and professionally with students, staff and parents, as part of a collaborative team that strives for improved student outcomes.
