About the Role
The successful applicant would ideally possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum; be able to deliver content in an engaging manner; have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a highly effective team member. The successful applicant will be teaching Mathematics to students from Year 7 to 10 with a range of ability levels. They will ideally have the capacity to provide a learning environment that is caring, motivational, and differentiated to cater for a range of learning needs. The applicant will also be required to teach some options classes and possibly some Primary classes. These classes are negotiable, depending on interests and skills. The successful applicant will be required to develop positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community. The successful applicant will participate in ongoing professional growth and development activities, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment.
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Meet the Department of Education
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement.
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
