Ipswich West State Special School is a co-educational school catering for students from Prep - Year 12.For students in Prep - Year 10, Ipswich WestSpecial School delivers the Australian Curriculum using students' Curriculum Plans to guide the individual educational needs of each student. Students in senior schooling, including students in Year 10, access Certificate 1 level Vocational Courses. Students in Year 11 and 12 have Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority curriculum plans developed so the Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement can be awarded at the completion of Year 12.Our school focuses on Postive Behaviour for Learning with our school rules being: safe, respectful, learner.

Applicants for these positions must possess:

* Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. * In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services. For more information on blue cards and exemption cards, please CLICK HERE.
* Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
