Teaching Fellow/ Senior Teaching Fellow

The University College at the University of Tasmania is looking for a Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow to join their team of highly skilled educators and leaders who deliver high quality learning experiences to our students.
The role is responsible for the collaborative design, development, and delivery of our courses. This includes high quality content, assessment of student work, and course and unit coordination (including the coordination of teaching staff).
We are looking for an experienced educator in Health and/or Community Services who is able to teach our Applied Health and Community Support Programs. Our ideal candidate will have experience working or teaching in health and wellbeing promotion and/or community health and wellbeing.
What you'll do:
- Lead and coordinate the design and development of units and courses including leading a team of teaching staff (level C), preparation of unit outlines, tutorial and workshop materials.
- Design and development of student assessments, including the setting, production and marking of assessment tasks.
- Conduct classes, tutorials, workshops and consultations.
- Contribute to industry engagement with an emphasis on building and maintaining effective and productive links with industry, other organisations and the wider community.
- Assist in matters of student academic welfare, including implementing student management support activities and making timely and appropriate referrals to central services.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant area with industry-specific experience in health and community services, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and higher education experience in the health and community services sectors.
- Experience in health and wellbeing promotion or community health and wellbeing.
- Experience in leading and coordinating teaching staff (level C).
- Experience in delivering and developing high quality and contemporary curricula, which caters for differing learning styles and accommodates a variety of delivery approaches.
- Outstanding communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with a diverse range of organisations and people, and to work collaboratively and harmoniously.
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B or C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $173,682 comprising base salary within the range of $108,285 to $148,446 plus 17% superannuation.
