Project Overview
Opes is undertaking sustainment services for a Tier 1 military integrator, located in South Australia. The highly cleared (AGSVA NV2) team manages a bespoke on-premises private cloud system supporting software development activities.
Role Description
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive sustainment team coordinator to join our sustainment team. As a team coordinator, you will be responsible for leading a small team of IT professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of the team and sustainment of the client’s system. You will be responsible for managing workloads, routine updates, as well as managing team tasks to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Resource Allocation: Team planning and scheduling to ensure resource availability and identify potential conflicts or challenges.
- Communications: Coordination and communication with both the team and the client’s stakeholder including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and document minutes for distribution.
- Documentation: Developing and maintaining sustainment team documentation, including schedules, plans, risk registers, and status reports, and communication of these to relevant stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Ensure sustainment documentation adhere to established quality standards. Conduct regular quality reviews and suggest improvements where needed.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identification of potential risks and issues, working with relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation plans. Monitor risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
- Change Management: Assist in managing change requests, evaluating impacts, and coordinating implementation.
Skills
- Proven experience as a team coordinator for IT projects
- Understanding of the ITIL framework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational, time management and scheduling skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in a team sustaining Windows, Linux and VMWare is highly desirable
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Team Coordinator in the IT industry (minimum 2 years).
- Proficiency in using project management software and collaboration tools.
