About the role
As the Field Dispatch Team Coordinator you will be leading a team identifying, monitoring, and acting upon service interruptions and ensuring customer and community needs are recognised and supported in an efficient and effective manner. You will also provide works management support as needed, reporting and most importantly leading and supporting the team.
Along with this you will also be responsible for the following:
- Be a role model, and by using coaching conversations, to empower and enable team members to make and implement decisions.
- Respond to/manage escalations from team members escalating and/or activating emergency management as required, taking responsibility for the decisions that are made around high impact events and upskilling teams as required.
- Key attention to lead & participate with the Customer Call Centre teams to minimise customer and community impacts during incidents and endeavour to meet all relevant regulatory (ESCOSA) requirements and team KPI’s in a 6:00am to 6:00pm environment through proactive management of events.
- Ensure suitable resources are scheduled and dispatched in a timely manner utilising Click-Dispatch auto-scheduling and dispatching tools for impacting events for all SA Water customers.
- Embrace opportunities to learn operational knowledge, customer service soft skills and be responsible for sharing the learnings and experience with team.
- Partner with our regional based Field Coordinators and District Leaders to optimise resource utilisation.
- Respond to/manage escalations from team members escalating and/or activating emergency management as required, taking responsibility for the decisions that are made around high impact events and upskilling teams as required.
Key requirements of the role include:
- Experience in prioritising workloads to meet required timeframes
- Experience in leading a team
- Capability of leading team members through change
- Technical or administrative qualifications and/or relevant operational/workflow experience
- Experience and understanding of work management systems, planning processes and work prioritisation
- Strong IT literacy and ability to learn and apply new business applications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Desirable to have experience with CLICK, Maximo and relevant operational knowledge
- Flexibility with working shifts from 6am to 6pm
- Required to hold a current driver’s licence at all times
