Airbus has an opportunity for a passionate leader to join our Richmond Maintenance team as the Team Lead Aircraft Maintenance in support of the C130J Hercules.
About the role
As a member of the Richmond Maintenance Team, this role is responsible for providing leadership and support to Aircraft Maintenance teams to ensure delivery of contracted maintenance outcomes at Richmond NSW in support of the C130J Through Life Support Program. The Team Lead will lead maintenance teams performing various maintenance activities ensuring best optimisation of resources at all times.
About the team
The Airbus Richmond Maintenance team provides maintenance services to support the RAAF fleet of C130J aircraft.
Typical maintenance activities include:
- Base Maintenance - servicing, inspection, rectification and repair of major structural and mechanical components.
- Major avionics system upgrades and modifications.
- Advanced troubleshooting and testing of aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
- Off aircraft component repair and servicing.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in and lead a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. As this is a leadership position, you will have a positive mindset, be receptive and promote positive change practices and be an effective communicator.
The skills and experience best suited to this role include:
- Minimum 5 years technical or maintenance management experience in the aviation industry
- Experience in people management and leading a united team in the achievement of measurable results and strategic goals
- Extensive technical background
- Detailed knowledge of all facets of maintenance management, including maintenance management systems, planning, equipment and parts management, and maintenance delivery types (base/deeper/operational/flight line/component etc.)
- Sound understanding of interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain
- Demonstrated track record in driving process improvement, balancing best practices with contractual/service requirements, and delivering on service targets
- Sound knowledge of applicable aviation maintenance legislation and regulations (e.g. CASR, DASR), standards
