RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

About the Role:

This is a Permanent Full Time position within the ICT department at The RCH. As the Team Lead Business Applications you will be responsible for managing the support and maintenance of the Microsoft Office 365 product suite and other non-clinical applications (MyDNA, SAP, SuccessFactors, RosterOn, Learning Hero, Middleware/Integrations), in alignment with the RCH Digital vision and strategies. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality and efficient Business Applications to enhance overall operational efficiency and contribute to RCH's digital transformation journey.

What You'll Achieve:

  • You will provide strategic direction and vision for the Business Applications team, aligning their efforts with the overall RCH Digital vision and strategies.
  • You will foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging innovation and creative problem-solving to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Business Applications services.
  • You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including IT leadership, department heads, and vendors, to ensure seamless integration and utilisation of Business Applications across the organisation.
  • You will inspire and motivate the Business Applications team, promoting a shared sense of purpose and commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • You will provide coaching and mentorship to team members, encouraging their professional growth and empowering them to take ownership of their responsibilities.
  • You will establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance and effectiveness of Business Applications services.
  • You will identify areas for improvement in processes, workflows, and system configurations, and lead initiatives to optimise and streamline operations.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable ability to develop and deliver effective working relationships with colleagues across ICT Services and the wider business.
  • Substantial experience of managing stakeholders at different levels within an organisation with the ability to listen and understand, build trust, establish relationships, negotiate and influence outcomes.
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of enterprise applications and integration with core business application services.
  • A good understanding of the technologies used in the health sector (EMR, medical machinery, patient booking systems, etc.)
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent.
