As a Team Leader, you will provide a safe and caring environment for all customers by: - Providing support to staff that ensures the effective operation of the Centre and assuming responsibility for the operations of the centre in the absence of the Manager.- Managing the deployment of centre staff as required, including monitoring staff attendance, arranging the smooth transition of shift changes, and identifying and responding to potential staff shortages.- Monitoring the performance and activities of support workers providing on the job training and workplace coaching.
- Having great availability and reliability working across a 24x7 roster and supporting staff in this environment- Having a good understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and societies. Understanding the issues which impact upon them in a contemporary society, and together give a commitment to provide culturally appropriate engagement and practice.- Assisting in the development, testing and implementation of contingency plans and procedures to ensure that the centre's response to incidents is timely and effective.- Participating in the development of individual management and case management plans for customers with Caseworkers and assisting the Caseworker to provide case management of customers through the continuum of accommodation and program options available at the centre.- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety and security are maintained within the centre.- Leading, supporting and helping to maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/491051/23 Closing Date: Monday, 12 June 2023This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
