This is a permanent, full time vacancy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

If you have an interest in working within the justice system and are keen to work in the South West of the State, within a two hour drive of Perth, we have an exciting opportunity for you to consider as a Team Leader at Bunbury Magistrates Court.

The Team Leader is responsible for leading the judicial support team, under management; who provide support to Magistrates and Registrars in the effective case management of court sittings. The role maintains a focus on ensuring a high quality of service delivery through the effective management of resources including planning, scheduling and controlling daily work activity and managing the training and development of staff.

As part of the Magistrates Court of WA – Bunbury team, the successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Work to improve communication and model integrity and respect in all interactions.
  • Operate within the Department’s Corporate Governance Framework, policies and procedures and ensure effective transparency and accountability of all Department activity.
  • Operate within the chain of command to coordinate activities required to meet the Department’s strategic objectives.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve common goals and best practice and facilitate business improvements as appropriate.
  • Facilitate cultural and management reforms within the Department through leadership and engagement.
  • Represent the Department’s interest on committees and working groups as required.
