About the positionWaterworld Aquatic Centre is seeking a dynamic, team orientated and experienced Aquatic ProgramsTeam Leader to oversee our Aquatic Programs team. Reporting to the Facility Manager Waterworld Aquatic Centre, you will manage all aspects of the Aquatic Programs including the Learn To Swim program, Birthday Parties, Group Bookings and Fitness Programs.
Your role will assist with the Duty Management responsibilities of the Centre including pool lifeguarding, pool water quality testing and monitoring and pool plant room activities. If not already held, we will support you in your commitment to obtain lifeguard, pool plant and water testing qualifications.
The position operates on a seven-day roster including weekend, early morning and evening work.
Key responsibilities are:
- Lead, coach and develop your teams, managing KPIs, performance reviews and structured training
- Have exceptional communication, team work and customer service skills
- Proven track record in Program Delivery, Process Improvement, Decision Making, Managing Process Change and Achieving Targets
- The ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Participate as a Duty Manager of the Centre as required
- Build relationships with other aquatic professionals
- Ensure program operations meet all relevant standards
- Pool Operations Certificate or the willingness to obtain
- Australia Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- You will have high attention to detail and experience with working with Point of Sale/database systems
- Have a current DHS Working with Children check or the willingness to obtain one
- Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical
