Community Corrections Team Leader – Hunter District Community Corrections
Salary: Clerk Grade 8 ($109,371 - $112,849) pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading.
Position Type: Ongoing/Temporary – Full Time/Part Time

About Us
Community Corrections is one arm of CSNSW that supervises offenders who are subject to community-based orders imposed by the courts or State Parole Authority. Community Corrections aims to reduce the impact of crime on the community by effectively case managing offenders to achieve resettlement and successful order completion.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for growth and development of leadership skills within the community.
The successful candidate will lead a team of Community Corrections Officers to work with these client populations under the framework model of risk, needs and responsivity case management.
Be employed as a Community Corrections Officer, within the meaning of the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999, and perform the functions (including the powers, authorities and duties) of a Community Corrections Officer from time to time as required, particularly in managing a caseload of more complex and high-risk offenders.
About you
As a highly motivated Team Leader, this role will see you responsible for but not limited to the following;
Provide professional support, mentoring and leadership to a team of Community Corrections Officers (CCOs) to maintain a high standard of professional service delivery that is compliant with legislation, policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain a cohesive team with positive and transparent culture focussed on practice excellence.
Guide and support team members with differing levels of experience and technical competence to enable their development.
Assess risk and prioritise demands within available resources to ensure the quality of interventions are maintained at a high standard, and resources are targeted to where they will have the greatest impact.
Work as part of a leadership team to identify systemic areas for development and implement and monitor activities to ensure team members’ quality work practices.

Essential requirements
Current driver’s licence and have a willingness/ability to drive within NSW.
