My Pathway is actively seeking a Full-Time Team Leader to join our expanding Disability Supports program in Woorabinda. This role offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
About the role:
The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in the development of our local workforce, ensuring the delivery of culturally sensitive, high-quality disability support services. You will coordinate a comprehensive array of services, including in-home support, community access, as well as social and skill-building activities. This role involves aiding community members with permanent disabilities in achieving their personal goals, maintaining connections with their family, community, and cultural roots.
What you’ll need to be considered:
- Strong commitment to fostering positive outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
- Proven experience working in remote First Nations communities.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work across various nearby communities.
- Proven leadership skills, including staff management, empowerment of team members, and conflict resolution.
- Highly developed skills in initiative-taking, time management, and independent operation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and their families/carers.
- Competency in drafting detailed written reports.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to workplace dynamics.
- Possession of or willingness to acquire a Certificate III in Individual Supports.
- Qualifications in Disability Services or a related field, or comparable experience, preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Holder of a Queensland Provisional Green or higher Driver’s License.
- Current or willingness to obtain a Provide First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Eligibility to acquire a positive notice Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and any other required personal history screening as mandated by law.
