About the Role

Centrecare has an exciting opportunity available to lead a team of staff delivering in-home support to families who have experienced homelessness through the Centrecare Family Accommodation Service and Sky children’s service.  We are looking for someone passionate and committed to high-quality service delivery that supports clients to achieve their goals, maintain housing, and improve the wellbeing of children and their families.  If you are experienced in case management with leadership experience and a passion for assisting vulnerable families, we encourage you to apply.  We encourage Aboriginal people with relevant experience to apply.

A Few Specifics

  • Oversee the provision of homelessness-funded services to families with dependent children, including coordinating the intake and assessment of families for a portfolio of supported accommodation tenancies.
  • Lead a team to provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed support to families to address issues that have contributed towards homelessness and assist families to obtain and maintain accommodation options.
  • Lead a team to provide therapeutic and recreational supports to children of families living in supported accommodation across Perth’s south to enhance the wellbeing of children and their families.

What we are looking for

We are interested in a strong leader and communicator with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with Senior Management on long term goals.  Someone that can support, mentor, and provide staff with a solution focused approach.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Recognised tertiary level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Justice, Counselling, and/or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience providing intensive, in-home support and case management to vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals with innovative and flexible techniques.
  • To have (or be able to obtain) a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers License.
