Aberstone Community Services provide vital supports and services to people living with disabilities in the community. We are currently seeking applications for an NDIS Accommodation Team Leader and PsychosocialTeam Leader to work with our management team.
Team Leader Must:
- Ensure high quality services are delivered to client's needs and goals.
- Obtain feedback from clients; recommend, and implement changes to services as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and supervision that promote a respectful work environment, maintain client focus, and positive team interactions.
- Develop and maintain operational and administrative systems to support effective management of high-quality service delivery.
- Undertake reviews and audits of accommodation services.
- Develop Accommodation Team members with a commitment to shared values.
- Demonstrate initiative in anticipating and responding to trends and events.
- Ensure all actions reflect personal credibility and ethical practice.
- Develop knowledge and skills to enhance NDIS pricing, quoting, billing and service agreements.
- Effectively communicate issues to stakeholders.
Accommodation Establishment and Expansion
Team Leader will:
- Expand Aberstone's Accommodation Property portfolio; source and match new participants with Aberstone's SIL / ILO homes.
- Liaise with relevant organisations to gather insights into market developments and competitor activity.
- Develop and implement accommodation business development plans to increase Aberstone's SIL brand awareness and client preference for Aberstone's various services.
- Be proactive with stakeholder engagement; develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals in the NDIS, government agencies.
- Respond to client needs to develop service proposals and quotations that are client focused and ‘fit for purpose’.
- Identify and develop opportunities to position Aberstone as a leading service provider in a competitive accommodation market.

Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated business acumen and experience in scaling a segment of a business.
- Established network within the disabilities industry and related agencies.
- Proven experience of successful leading and managing of services and programs.
- Sound understanding of service delivery in the disability sector, legislative requirements and of key issues operating.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Superior interpersonal and communications skills and highly developed written skills and the ability to form positive working relationships.
- Highly proficient in cloud-based computing and client record management systems.
- A tertiary qualification in peer work or mental health (minimum of Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate IV in Mental Health) or equivalent training and/or;
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role working with people with a chronic and persistent mental illness, and working with their family;
- Current Driver's License and the ability to maintain a clear Working with Children and Check and National Police Clearance.
