Job DescriptionAbout the role
We are looking for Mechanical Team Leader's to join our FIFO teams on various FMG sites. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will ensure smooth day to day running of our onsite branch on a FIFO 2x1 roster. You will be a strong safety leader and supervisor of our dynamic team. You will ensure all equipment is maintained as well as maximise the availability for hire through the co-ordination of staff.
In addition, you will:
• Ensure Occupational Health and Safety standards are met and demonstrate strong communication and leadership in this area.
• Ensure Equipment is maintained in accordance with relevant Australian standards, codes of practice and Onsite Rental Group Policies
• Provide reports and stats for the Branch Manager on servicing and KPIs
• Ensure workshop parts and consumables are stocked and R&M parts are ordered in a timely manner
• Ensure Service Technicians are undertaking their daily tasks set out and agreed by the Branch Manager and that they follow and adhere to report parameters set
• Coordinate and facilitate equipment servicing schedules and breakdowns
• Attend all pre-start and customer required meetings
• Represent Onsite as its safety Representative and undertake all appropriate training as required
• Ensure Onsite business systems are fully utilised
Skills and Experience
Ideally, you will have the following:
• Proven safety leadership experience and a commitment to safety with training in Section 26
• Trade qualified – Trade qualification in mechanical, hydraulics, fitter and/or auto electrician
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team and managing service demand
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively
• Experience in rental, industrial, construction or related industry
• Proven customer relationship experience
• Valid motor vehicle license
• High risk work licence
