Address The Team LeaderHealth Information Systems plays an integral role in strengthening the AFP’s Health Information and data landscape. Supporting the Health Information Management Steward, it is responsible for implementing Health Information and data strategy, governance and compliance and service delivery. The role will monitor compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and governance requirements. The Team LeaderHealth Information Systems works in partnership with executive leadership and internal and external stakeholders, including the Chief Medical Officer and the Health Governance Team, to identify and effectively mitigate Health Information and data risks across the risk management lifecycle and contribute to improved governance and practices.
Specific duties include, but are not limited, to:
Develop and implement a Health Information and data action plan that shapes Health Information and data collection, classification, usage and sharing
Contribute to relevant leadership and technical forums as a Subject Matter Expert to meet business and strategic objectives
Support the transition to technology-enabled health Information Management systems and practices
Responsibility for Health Information and data legislative, regulatory and governance compliance
Provide recommendations to the Health Information Management Steward regarding Health Information and data sharing and release
Plan, lead and monitor Health Information, data, and privacy activities
Provide high-quality advice and insights on Health Information and data compliance, policies, and practices
Develop high-quality business documentation, including (but not limited to), executive briefings, progress reports, presentations, governance, risk assessments, implementation plans and other communication
Coach, lead, mentor and develop team members as required
